#Mali : Malian Prime Minister Dr. Sogoul Gokalla Maga launched the 2nd phase of the vaccination campaign against Govt-19 on Monday, August 23 in Commune IV, Bamako District. On this occasion, Mali received a large donation of vaccines from the United States.
After the first phase, centered in the capital, Bamako, Mali is launching a second phase of vaccination for the benefit of the central and northern regions. This second phase was initiated with the support of Washington.
In fact, the 151,200 Dance Johnson vaccine from Johnson & Johnson has been administered by the U.S. government and is being distributed to the people of Mopti, Thimphu, Cao, Kidal, Monaco and Dodin. Areas less affected by the infection than Bamako, which accounts for 4 out of 5 cases identified.
In his inaugural address, the Prime Minister recalled that the fight against the Govt-19 epidemic was one of the priorities of the interim authorities and called on the Malians to be massively vaccinated. He further recalled that from the onset of the disease to August 20, 2021, the country had registered 140,740 confirmed cases, including 537 deaths.
