Tunisia receives four medical aid flights from Egypt and Kuwait

AA / Tunis

Kuwait will send a medical aid plane to Tunisia and Egypt will send three as part of the country’s fight against the spread of the corona virus infection.

This is evident from two statements issued by the official Kuwait News Agency (GNA) and the Egyptian military.

“The Kuwait Red Crescent has announced that it will take a rescue plane from the Abdullah al-Mubarak air base to Tunisia,” said Guna, adding that the plane was loaded with medical equipment and equipment to help Tunisia enjoy health and cope with the crisis and epidemic.

The Egyptian military on Wednesday announced the arrival of three military aircraft carrying tons of drugs, equipment and medical supplies to Tunisia.

“Three planes provided by the Ministry of Health to the Tunisian people departed from the air base in eastern Cairo to deal with the consequences of the crisis facing the country,” he said in a statement.

According to an earlier statement by the President of the Tunisian Republic, two Egyptian military planes carrying medical equipment and medicines, oxygen and respiration monitors arrived at the Al-Auna military base in the capital, Tunis.

The Ministry of Health said last Friday that the country was experiencing an unprecedented outbreak, characterized by the widespread spread of the alpha and delta variants of the corona virus in all parts of the country.

In Tunisia, more than 510,396 people have been infected with Kovit-19, of which 16,651 have died and 406,349 have been cured.
