Lufthansa subsidiary Eurowings will fly from Great Britain to Mallorca on a summer flight schedule.
Hope is spreading across Europe. Various vaccines are being distributed and comprehensive testing strategies are being developed to enable unlimited travel, at least in Europe. Wandering is the best on the island – Announced by aero.de., Eurowings depart from Great Britain to Mallorca on summer flight schedule. Goals at a glance.
Two links per week to the UK
The desire to travel around the world should now be boundless. It was inspired by the British when Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced further easing last week. Among other things, the British were banned from traveling domestically and abroad. A step-by-step plan will gradually reopen hotels, restaurants and pubs in Germany that will soon be able to go overseas again. This triggered a huge booking boom among the English. Following Boris Johnson’s speech, British low – cost carrier increased demand by 300 percent. This demand must be met, especially in times when other airlines have gone bankrupt due to or before the crisis. An example of this is: Thomas Cook.
The British tour operator also operated his own airline until bankruptcy. The German airline Condor was also part of the construction, and the parent company thanked the federal government after the bankruptcy. Alternatives are no longer available in Great Britain. Another major British airline, Monarch Airlines, also had to say goodbye a few years ago. The Eurowings wants to fill this gap with two weekend connections with Mallorca initially – a holiday island preferred by Germans and Britons.
From the end of May, the Eurowings holiday island of Mallorca will be connected to the British cities of Birmingham and Manchester. Manchester was next to London Gatwick, the former headquarters of Thomas Cook Airlines. Lufthansa, Germany’s low – cost carrier, already operates a hub in Mallorca. Here, too, Eurowings filled a gap after Air Berlin went bankrupt and operates a total of three Airbus A320s at the Baleric base after the Corona epidemic.
Eurowings serves a total of 24 locations in Europe from Mallorca, 16 of which are in Germany, Austria and Switzerland alone. A few years before the bankruptcy, Air Berlin dropped its extensive headquarters in Mallorca with various domestic contacts in Spain. In addition to the Airbus A320, long-haul flights were also parked on the island to meet high demand during the summer months.
Decision on extension of route from Eurowings to England
The summer flight schedule in Mallorca expands the range of Eurowings routes, then flying once a week to Birmingham and Manchester. The aircraft’s Airbus A320 will probably be used. The Lufthansa subsidiary is reacting to higher demand on the island, where booking boom was triggered after the relaxation. It is exciting to see if the new routes are well received by the Eurowings and if they are expanded.
