Spring in the Mountains from Wildwater Rafting

We’ve had a nice break from winter and it sure feels like Spring is in the air. When making your Spring Break and Easter holiday plans, consider a quick jaunt to the Smokies. Check out our new interactive map on our web site for your vacation planning. Its features allow you to locate lodging, activities and restaurants quickly so you can make the most of your time in the mountains.

Besides the various Easter Sunday services, enjoy the other products of the season like the spring migration of birds as well as the burst of wildflowers blooming. The grounds of Falling Waters and the surrounding mountains of the Blue Ridge and Smokies are alive with native wildflowers such as Galax, Jack-in-the-Pulpit, violets, iris, Solomon’s Seal and others. The area around the waterfall at Falling Waters is especially rich with flowers such as the Silverbell and Columbine.

This year is the 75th Anniversary of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and we are offering a Yurt nightly special of $75, tax and fees included, until May 21st. Mention the Smokies Anniversary Special when booking your reservations. Falling Waters was selected as one of 150 on National Geographic Traveler's "Stay List" for 2009. We were just one of two North Carolina based properties. Do you need any more reasons to come? Come celebrate the arrival of spring and change of season with Wildwater.
