TriAmerica National Series Tour to Expand in 2008

(Published Sep 23, 2007)

ANDERSON, SC - After a reduced series schedule in 2007, the TriAmerica National Triathlon Series Tour will expand to eight cities in 2008, including an all new championship venue. It will return to Lake Hartwell in Anderson after a successful showing in August.

According to TriAmerica's website, "Lake Hartwell is 56,000 acres big, with more than 900 miles of shoreline, making it a paradise for outdoor activities and perfect venue for the TriAmerica National Series Tour."

All races will feature the new TriAmerica distance of a 2K swim (1.25 miles), 60K Bike (37 miles), and a 15K run (9.3 miles), along with a shorter race of approximately half those distances. Each TriAmerica Festival Weekend will also include a new TriAmerica Super Sprint Triathlon and the popular TriAmerica TriKidz Triathlon for youths ages 6-14.

Watch for more details and the official TriAmerica Series announcement in late October.
