The Lake Hartwell Marketing Alliance announced it will sponsor Wake Hartwell 2011, a pair of wakeboarding championship events on Lake Hartwell.

Clemson to Add 3-lane Rowing Course

The Clemson City Council has unanimously agreed to spend $35,000 to purchase a second three-lane race course that will be installed near the YMCA beach on the Oconee County side of Hartwell Lake pending a permit from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
