Organizers of the Sportsman's Festival are planning to offer exhibitions of the latest outdoor activites and equipment from area vendors and natural resource information from government and non-profit organizations, along with food and door prizes. The entire weekend is intended to promote tourism and provide fun, family entertainment.

The Turkey Trot includes an on/off road 5K and 1M fun run. The overall male and female in the 5K receive $100 each. Medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age category. Every kid participating in the fun run receives a medal. T-shirts guaranteed to those who pre-registered. Participants are encouraged but not required to bring at least one can of food to help restock the local food pantries at area churches the week before Thanksgiving.
