SENECA, SC - The Seneca Rotary Club Lake and Leaves Motorcycle Poker Run will be from 11 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday, October 13, starting at Performance Powersports located at 329, U.S. Highway 123, Seneca. The 100-mile ride benefits charities and education.
The Lake & Leaves Poker Run is not a race! Participants have up to five hours to complete the course. Cash prizes will be awarded at that time.
Participants must register at the Performance Motors before starting. Cost to participate in the poker run is $25 per hand. Maximum number of hands allowed is four per entry.
Participants must go to all five stops on the poker run course. Your poker run participation coupon will be stamped at each stop to ensure that you have completed the course.
At each stop, draw a card. To ensure fairness, you will always draw from a full deck of 52 cards. In the event that you draw a card which you already have in your hand, you simply replace that card and draw a new card. Your participation coupon will be marked by an official with the card that you draw. Once the coupon is marked, you are ready to proceed to the next stop.
When you have gone to all five stops and completed your five card hand, you are ready to match your hand against all others for the chance to win cash! First place pays $1,000, second place $500 and third pays $250. Take your hand to the Keowee Marina Tiki Hut and give it to the judges for scoring. All hands must be turned in no later than 5 p.m. Any hands coming in after that time will not be scored. In the event of a tie, cash prizes will be awarded to the top three hands.
Poker hands are valued from best to worst as follows: Royal flush, straight flush, four of a kind, full house, flush, straight, three of a kind, two pair, one pair, high card. All scoring by judges are final.
