Hartwell Lake Cleanup Campaign
The success of this year’s Hartwell Lake Clean-up Campaign was because of the involvement of over 600 volunteers and over 100 organizations participating during the five-week clean-up period that began on August 19 and ended on September 30, 2006.

Shelter Reservations
Officials with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers announced that Corps managed picnic shelters and day use areas at Hartwell Lake may be reserved beginning March 1. Picnic shelters and day use areas will open April 1 and are ideal places to hold family reunions, church outings, company picnics, meetings and other group outings.
