The year-long 75th anniversary celebration carries the theme “Come Out and Play” in recognition of the parks’ vital role in adding to quality of life in South Carolina.

Paul Anderson Park nearing completion in Toccoa
A park dedicated to “The Worlds Strongest Man” and founder of of the Paul Anderson Youth Home in Vidalia, Georgia is nearing completion at the corner of East Tugalo St and Big A Rd in Toccoa. The centerpiece of the park is a fountain and a bronze statue of Toccoa’s own Olympic Champion, Paul Anderson. Surrounding the fountain is a brick walkway with several park benches, a picnic pavillion and beautiful flower gardens. This park is a “Must See” in Toccoa whether for the history, the flowers, or simply a place to relax and read a book.
