The next GREEN SCREEN film is "Carving Up Oconee" Wednesday, May 26th at 7:00 p.m. at the Oconee Heritage Center in Walhalla.

Even though the setting for this film is rural Georgia, there are numerous similarities and threats facing our Oconee County.  This movie has not been released to the public, but we are fortunate to have a copy on loan from the filmmaker.

"Carving Up Oconee: – The film focuses on two communities in rural Oconee County, GA – one hour away from fast growing Atlanta.  It allows viewers to witness how it feels for people to have the peaceful beauty of their farmland surroundings suddenly threatened by real estate developers and big-city interests with deep pockets and political influence. {77 minutes}
