[ In Music ]Carillon Concert Sunday, September 27Dzuris will give an open-air concert on the carillon on Sunday, September 27, beginning at 5 p.m. “Music in the Air VII,” a free concert, will feature sacred and popular selections as well as a composition inspired by the horrific lynching of an African- American in 1916. Following the concert, the public is invited to view the carillon and learn how this unique instrument is played. Concert-goers may bring picnics, blankets, and lawn chairs. Recommended listening spots surround Tillman Hall and include Cox Union Plaza, the Military Heritage Plaza, and the Clemson Carillon Garden across from Tillman Hall.

Prize money will be given in the following categories: string band, fiddle, junior fiddle, banjo, guitar.and “open” (mandolin, dulcimer, harmonica, folk song, etc) A special category will highlight young fiddlers.
