Lake Hartwell to host Walmart BFL SC Division tournament
The South Carolina Division of the $8 million Walmart Bass Fishing League® will visit Lake Hartwell in Seneca, S.C., Oct. 3-4 for the final regular-season event. As many as 200 boaters and 200 co-anglers are expected to compete in the Super Tournament including a top award of $9,000 in the Boater Division.

Carillon Concert Sunday, September 27
Dzuris will give an open-air concert on the carillon on Sunday, September 27, beginning at 5 p.m. “Music in the Air VII,” a free concert, will feature sacred and popular selections as well as a composition inspired by the horrific lynching of an African- American in 1916. Following the concert, the public is invited to view the carillon and learn how this unique instrument is played. Concert-goers may bring picnics, blankets, and lawn chairs. Recommended listening spots surround Tillman Hall and include Cox Union Plaza, the Military Heritage Plaza, and the Clemson Carillon Garden across from Tillman Hall.

Bass fishing remains a little slow but some good rain fell during the week which will hopefully help the bass fishing over the next couple of days. Top water baits are working for short periods during the morning, but not for long

Bass fishing has been fair according to the reports that came in this past week. Water temperatures are still a little high, but the smaller bass are getting a little more active this past couple of weeks.

'Ole Time Fiddlin’ Convention’ - Sat 9/19
An 'Ole Time Fiddlin’ Convention’ will be held September 19th on the outdoor stage at Hagood Mill from 11:00 until 4:00. Prize money will be given in the following categories: string band, fiddle, junior fiddle, banjo, guitar.and “open” (mandolin, dulcimer, harmonica, folk song, etc) A special category will highlight young fiddlers.

Bass fishing is slowly picking up with the cooler days and nights we have had over the past few days. A good breeze is blowing across the lake especially during the morning hours. The bass are getting a little more aggressive on those jigs and Carolina rigs.
