Online License Sales Temporarily Unavailable

SOCIAL CIRCLE, Ga. (March 9, 2007) *Online sales of Georgia hunting and fishing licenses and boat registration will be unavailable from the Department's internet site (www.georgiawildlife.com) from Friday, March 9 at 5:00 p.m. until Monday, March 12 at 8:00 a.m., according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources (DNR), Wildlife Resources Division (WRD).

Internet access will be unavailable due to maintenance to electrical systems where the computer systmes are housed.  Access to the Wildlife Resources website will also be unavailable at the time.

"We are very sorry for any unavoidable inconvenience that this shutdown has caused," said David Neyhart, Program Manager, License and Boat Registration Unit.  "We are working diligently to make access available as soon as possible for our valued customers."

Resident Georgia hunting and fishing licenses are available throughout the state from approximately 1,100 license dealers in many sporting goods stores, marinas, bait and tackle stores, hardware stores, etc. License dealers also sell non-resident licenses.

Full access is expected to be restored by Monday, March 12, 2007 at 8 a.m.
