HARTWELL, GA - The Cateechee Ladies Golf Association established a scholarship fund to award a female high school senior golfer for outstanding achievement. On Friday, May 4th Candy Taylor, Scholarship Chairman, made the presentation to Britani Rae Vickery a t the Hart County Comprehensive High School Awards Day.
Mrs. Taylor noted, that as a group of lady golfers interested in furthering the game of golf, the CLGA decided to create an award that would be given to a female senior in one of the tri-county area high schools. “Britani is an excellent candidate for this award” said Mrs. Taylor. “She has already learned to balance her life well. She has a part time job, excels in her classes and still finds time for a long list of extracurricular activities that include golf!”
Britani is the daughter of Brian and Susan Vickery of Royston, Georgia. She is an honor graduate and has played golf for seven years. Britani will continue her studies at Athens Technical College and plans to pursue a career in Graphic Design.
CLGA would like to thank Cateechee members for their support with their fundraisers throughout the year.
