Lake Hartwell Fishing Report - November 27, 2009

LAKE HARTWELL IS .73 INCHES OVER FULL, 57 DEGREES, CLEAR BY TIM WHITE RAPALA PRO STAFF
Bass fishing slowed down by the middle of the week, as a cold front approached. Up in the rivers, the water is still dirty but will start clearing up around the I 85 bridge on the Tugaloo River side. A lot of the bigger Bass are suspended out off the deep points and along the ledges. Some of the smaller Bass are still chasing bait fish along the banks. The bass might be a little sluggish and a softer, slower presentation might be necessary. Good baits to carry along and use this week include: DT10's and DT16's, Clackin' Raps, a Number Ten X Rap, jigs and a Carolina rigged six inch finesse Worm. Don't forget to fish in and around all of the docks that have ten to fifteen feet of water under or around them. Many of these docks contain brush piles or stumps. Most of these structures are man made; also fish the docks especially good, where you find bass boats trailers parked.
