The Hartwell Project received a $25,000 grant to install a multi-purpose trail in the Paynes Creek Campground area that will enhance mountain biking and recreational activities on the upper portion of Hartwell Lake and increase opportunities for bank fishing, hiking, and bird watching.

Tour de La France Bike Ride Saturday 9/5/2009
The Tour de La France family bicycle ride will begin at La France Elementary School at 8 am. The ride to the Great Escape is 13.74 miles. The ride from the Great Escape the the Anderson County Farmers Market Pavilion is a further 1.8 miles.

The Camp will be held in Febuary in South Carolina, near the Table rock State Park. We have reserved the 5000sq ft. Magnolia Place Mansion as our home base.
