The Portsmouth Open Sailing Regatta was held Saturday March 31 and Sunday April 1 at Wetsern Carolina Sailing Club on Hartwell Lake. Twenty nine, centerboard sailboats competed in four classes: Buccaneer 18, Lightning, Flying Scot and Open Portsmouth. Boats arrived by trailer form as far away as Alabama, Vermont and New York to join many local sailing enthusiasts for the spring, weekend event at the local sailing club.
