Collins Childrens Home visit to Stumphouse Tunnel
The children and staff from both homes recently enjoyed the unseasonal warm weather together. They visited Stumphouse Tunnel and shared a picnic lunch hosted by our special friend, Tom Brelsford. They began their adventure by hiking to the lookout over Issaquenna Falls & taking pictures.
12/06 - Oconee Christmas Traditions - FREE
Saturday 12/06 2:00 - Oconee Heritage Center will be hosting the 4th Annual Oconee Christmas Traditions program. This year’s program will be “An Appalachian Christmas” featuring residents from the mountainous parts of Oconee County sharing childhood Christmas memories.
VARIETY BENEFIT SHOW at Walhalla Civic Auditorium
This Variety Benefit Show to move Old St. John's and to renovate the old Board Room of the Walhalla Civic Auditorium, will be from 3PM until around 5PM on Sunday afternoon, Nov 16, 2008. They will be accepting donations and also have a silent auction on some great stuff.
Keowee Canoe
A second canoe arrived at the Oconee Heritage Center a few weeks ago. It will now join the canoe found in the Chattooga River in 2002 in a preservation process and eventual exhibits at the museum
