Toccoa Falls College Partners with EPA

Published Oct 16, 2007

TOCCOA, GA - Toccoa Falls College recently attended a signing ceremony at Emory University in Atlanta, to sign an audit agreement to conduct voluntary environmental self-audits. In an effort to be proactive in pollution control regulation, colleges and universities from neighboring states came together to be a part of the Georgia Environmental Protection Agency ceremony in June.

In early 2007, Region 4, made up of Southeastern Colleges and Universities in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee, launched a College and University Compliance Incentive Initiative to encourage Colleges and Universities to conduct voluntary environmental self-audits.

Through the signed agreement, these 101 private Colleges and Universities will cooperate with these audits over the next couple of years. This signing celebrates and announces a partnership to ensure compliance with environmental laws and promote environmental stewardship among colleges and universities.
