S.C. Parks in Reserve America’s ‘Top 100’

COLUMBIA, SC – Nineteen of South Carolina’s 47 state parks are on the list of parks recognized across the country in ReserveAmerica’s annual Outdoor Recreation Awards. Six made the list of “America’s Top 100 Campgrounds,” based on testimonials, campground ratings and feedback from rangers, park management and campers at nearly 4,000 parks nationwide.

They are Aiken State Natural Area, Calhoun Falls State Recreation Area, Hamilton Branch State Recreation Area, Keowee-Toxaway State Natural Area, Paris Mountain State Park and Table Rock State Park.

  • Top 25 Kid-Friendly Parks: Sesquicentennial State Park
  • Top 25 Park Beaches: Edisto Beach State Park, Huntington Beach State Park
  • Top 25 Picnic Areas: Lake Warren State Park
  • Top 25 Romantic Spots: Charles Towne Landing State Historic Site
  • Top 50 Scenic Views: Devils Fork State Park, Hunting Island State Park, Caesars Head
    State Park, Table Rock State Park
  • Top 25 Unique Cabins: Santee State Park
