OCONEE, SC - Oconee emergency workers have reported that the body of 38-year-old Brad Haire of North Carolina was recovered about 6:20 a.m., Thursday, from Hartwell Lake, where he was reported missing while swimming on Saturday, August 11.

Divers said low visibility, debris and brush in the water hampered the search for the Asheville man. He was swimming with friends when he disappeared near Coneross Park near Townville. Coneross Campground is located on the Seneca River arm of the northern end of the expansive Hartwell Lake. The campground is located near Anderson and Clemson, SC, near Hwy 24.
