MOORE, SC - Carolina Pageant Productions an unofficial preliminary to the Miss Universe Organization is looking for young ladies between the ages of 13 - 26 to compete for the titles of Miss Anderson - SC, Miss Teen Anderson - SC, Miss Oconee - SC, Miss Teen Oconee - SC, Miss Pickens - SC, and Miss Teen Pickens - SC 2008. The pageant will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2008, in Walhalla, SC, at Walhalla High School.

"Our organization hopes to provide not only an annual competition for the young ladies in our state, but an outlet for them to grow as a young lady and a person. We hope to provide an avenue for them to be successful in the world and in life; through invaluable lessons in public speaking and presentation skills, and the self-confidence to be their best personal self. This years competition is extremely exciting because it is the first ever competition for Carolina Pageant Productions," says Jeremy Smith (pictured), executive director at Carolina Pageant Productions. Smith has over eleven years of pageantry experience on the local and state level as a director, volunteer, and judge.

The new titleholders for Carolina Pageant Productions will be selected based on personality, physical fitness in swimsuit, and evening gown. The miss and teen winners will win a prize package valued at over $3,000.00 and the chance to compete for the titles of Miss SC USA/Miss SC Teen USA in November.

We are not looking for some façade of who you are. We want the you that you are off the stage. Confidence, composure, and beauty from within exuding out will win this competition. Carolina Pageant Productions was formed with the ladies of South Carolina in mind. We are a group of educated and experienced young professionals who wish to provide an opportunity to help guide the young women of South Carolina to their personal best and to define beauty with a purpose.

Each contestant must meet the criteria set forth by Carolina Pageant Productions and the Miss Universe Organization. Including; being a resident of South Carolina at least one month prior to the competition or a student in South Carolina.
