Pre-Fourth Fireworks and Band Concert

HARTWELL, GA - The annual Hart County Chamber of Commerce Pre-4th Fireworks and Band Concert will be on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Big Oaks Recreation Area, Highway 29. The band concert will be at 8 p.m. at the Big Oaks Picnic Shelter and the fireworks will be at dark. Contact the Hart County Chamber of Commerce at 706-376-8590 for more information.

I was very disappointed to learn thru a family member, that you did the 4th of july celebration basicly a week early and realy did not make enough notice so folks like me and my wife could go. We assumed it would be on friday evening the actual 4th of july. My wife has had to work second shift for years and now, this year she was so looking forward to seeing the dam for the first time and the boats parked in the lake and the fireworks over the water. All i can ask is if you're not going to do the 4th of july, on the 4th of july, could you make a better effort for folks like us to be able to find out in time? Very sad for my wife, Wayne Surin
