HARTWELL, GA - Hart County Public Works Director Jon Caime told board commissioners during the December 5 meeting that the drought is helping to uncover some problems with bridges and pipes that are normally submerged below water, especially around Lake Hartwell.
He noted that he will have a report ready in 2008 but that the road department will start on needed bridge work this winter based on current findings. He also noted that he is planning to place a high priority on the work needed around the lake due to the rare drought conditions and abnormally low lake levels. December 5 minutes.
