Dzuris will give an open-air concert on the carillon on Sunday, September 27, beginning at 5 p.m. “Music in the Air VII,” a free concert, will feature sacred and popular selections as well as a composition inspired by the horrific lynching of an African- American in 1916. Following the concert, the public is invited to view the carillon and learn how this unique instrument is played. Concert-goers may bring picnics, blankets, and lawn chairs. Recommended listening spots surround Tillman Hall and include Cox Union Plaza, the Military Heritage Plaza, and the Clemson Carillon Garden across from Tillman Hall.

Robotics competition at Clemson to draw 1,000 high-schoolers
CLEMSON — One thousand high school students from the United States and Brazil will descend on Clemson University's Littlejohn Coliseum March 26-28 as part of the sixth annual FIRST Robotics Competition Palmetto Regional. It is a highly competitive and action-packed contest, described as a rock concert and sporting event for the mind rolled into one.
College rowing teams visit Clemson
College rowing teams that visit Clemson to enjoy the lake, and warmer training weather than they would find elsewhere, also typically help make March the second-best revenue-generating month of the year for the city of Clemson, said Clemson University rowing Coach Richard Ruggieri.

Rowing teams to practice elsewhere
Each winter college rowing teams from up north visit Clemson University to use its rowing facilities and the miles of deep, straight Hartwell Lake water for practice sessions. This year they are being advised to find other venues, said Chris Hardy of the Clemson Area Chamber of Commerce
