ANDERSON, SC - Artwork from more than 100 students from throughout the county was entered in the 9th Annual Anti-Litter Art Contest sponsored by Keep America Beautiful of Anderson County. Students’ drawings illustrated the theme “Going Green Globally.”
Teachers in public, private and home schools in Anderson County were asked to submit three drawings from their homeroom class for the KAB art contest.
Candace Cho, a seventh grader at McCants Middle School and Jacki Hobbs a senior at TL Hanna High were chosen as the grand-prize winners. Jacki’s art will be on the T-shirts worn by volunteers who help with cleanups and beautification. Candance’s art will be on 40,000 litterbags given away at libraries in Anderson County and at community events.
