Duke Energy has upgraded boat ramps at the Fall Creek Access Area on Lake Keowee and Devils Fork State Park on Lake Jocassee to provide safer access for lake users.
At the Fall Creek Access Area, Duke Energy constructed a new courtesy dock 100-feet long with 20 boat cleats and fender guards. This addition will help boaters launch and load boats,
Duke Energy also enhanced the boat ramps at Devils Fork State Park on Lake Jocassee. Two of the ramps were resurfaced and concrete was replaced in degraded sections of the ramps. One ramp was extended 80 feet, making the ramp 280 feet long to provide access for emergency responders, power plant employees and the public during times of low water conditions. The extension allows boats to be launched safely into the lake when the lake is as low as 32 feet below full pond.
