The success of the Lake Hartwell Association depends entirely on its volunteer board and committee members. There is currently a serious need for additional board members. The existing board is stretched thin with several folks trying to handle multiple responsibilities. Most have served multiple terms. The only requirement to become an LHA board member is one year of association membership. The only qualifications are the time and energy to work on projects and issues to protect our great water resource.

The Lake Hartwell Association will only remain viable with continued active support from the members. Membership in LHA is open to all who have an interest in this lake, including visitors, part or full time residents, businesses, day users, agencies, and others. We have boaters of all types, fishers, campers, and those who just enjoy being near the water. Our membership is divided among Georgia, South Carolina, and about 15 other states. Anyone can become a member and you do not have to live at the lake. To become a member, simply click on Membership Form, print out the membership form, complete it, and mail it with the annual dues to:

Dues are $25.00 per year for a family. A community and development membership is available for $100.00 per year. Any public or private corporation, commission, governmental agency or association may become a member, and shall be entitled to one vote in any matter requiring a ballot.
