Implementation of the Hartwell Project Shoreline Management Plan began the week of January 30, 2007, and can be viewed on the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers website. Objectives of the plan are to achieve a balance between public and permitted private use, while assuring long-term resource protection. The 44-page plan expands on topics such as shoreline use, docks, facilities and erosion control.
