SAVANNAH, GEORGIA – Officials with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Hartwell Project Office will temporarily close the Martin Creek Access Area, located in Oconee County, S.C. beginning Sept. 8 for repaving. The area should re-open in six to eight days, weather permitting.
Visitors are encouraged to use nearby access areas during this time. A complete list of recreation areas can be found on the Hartwell Lake Project Office website at www.sas.usace.army.mil/lakes/hartwell/dayuse.htm or by calling toll free 888-893-0678 or 706-856-0300.
