Many potentially qualified recruit prospects never consider the Coast Guard as a service option for simple lack of exposure to information which might lead them to contact a USCG Recruiter.

Project Goal: Increase and enhance the pool of qualified potential recruits for the USCG enlisted and officer personnel in areas without a USCG recruiting physical presence.
Project Mission: Distribute USCG recruiting literature to high schools, technical colleges, colleges and other appropriate institutions in areas where there is no USCG physical presence, thus blanketing these geographic areas.
Method: Once each year utilize USCG Auxiliary volunteers to personally deliver recruiting literature and a verbal invitation to contact the appropriate Recruiting Office for further information and follow-up action, as necessary. Auxiliarists would be responsible for specific high schools, technical colleges, colleges and other appropriate institutions in their immediate vicinity. Current USCG recruiting materials and Recruiter in Charge contact information. Flotilla project coordinator and sufficient volunteers willing to participate in a brief project orientation and personally deliver the literature and invitations.
Accountability: Whenever possible, USCG Recruiter in Charge will provide quantitative follow-up report to participating Flotilla with comparative numbers of qualified recruit prospects, actual enlistments, and officer candidates before and after the distribution.
