The following boating courses, offered by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary will be held at the COE office located 1 mile south of the dam on US 29. All are at 9am to 4 pm on the dates indicated. To reserve a seat call Jim Rudy at 864-972-2085, or Glenn Barbee at 706-376-0096.

Boating courses are also offered by the GA Dept. of Natural Resources and will be held at the COE office located 1 mile south of the dam on US 29. These are 6 hour courses from 9 am to 4 pm on the dates indicated. Participants must be at least 12 years old. Classes are limited to 25 students. The dates are Feb 17, Mar 31, Apr 28, May 12, and June 23. There is no fee.
