LAKE HARTWELL IS DOWN 4.3 FEET, CLEAR & 61 DEGREES - Bass fishing is good and the full moon is April 27. This will force waves of bass and bait to the banks.

LAKE HARTWELL IS DOWN 5.6 FEET, CLEAR & 49 DEGREES - Bass fishing is fair. Use the crank baits and jerk baits mid day.

Winter is a Prime Time For Crappie Fishing

During winter, crappie tend to congregate in deeper water, generally 15-30 feet deep, near the mouths of major tributaries and in the main lake. Large schools are easily located with sonar electronics.

LAKE HARTWELL IS DOWN 6.2 FEET, CLEAR & 49 DEGREES - Bass fishing is fair and the fish are trying to move up. Anglers still seem to prefer the crank baits for the majority of the bass fishing.

LAKE HARTWELL IS DOWN 8.44 FEET, CLEAR & 49 DEGREES - Bass fishing is slow as the surface temperatures slowly continue to fall. The fish have moved to deeper water as cold front as another cold front passes through.

LAKE HARTWELL IS DOWN 12.75 FEET STAINED & 54 DEGREES - Bass is fair and the bait fish have moved into creeks and main pocket and the bass are feeding up. The birds are just beginning to show up and they are good indicators as to where the fish and the bait are located.
