Congratulations to all who passed Boat Smart. The squadron has now held two successful Boat Smart classes, one in Duncan, SC and the other in Anderson, SC. Now it’s time to do one more.

The squadron is currently working to put a class together following the Poker Run, probably in the Anderson Area. This class will start around Memorial Day and run the normal four weeks. This new plan, does however, mean Seamanship will now be held starting in August with Piloting starting immediately after. Additionally, Engine Maintenance will be offered in the fall. Exact dates will be announced soon. Finally, Junior Navigation will begin 11 September, 2007, at the Life Center.
