CALHOUN FALLS, SC - Wednesday, October 31, is the last day to preregister for the Calhoun Falls Chamber of Commerce 5K Turkey Trot and Food Drive. Make sure entries are postmarked October 31. T-shirts guaranteed for pre-registered participants.

The 5K will be at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, November 18, at the Calhoun Falls State Park and
Recreation Area. The 5K is the only local on/off road race. A one mile fun run will
follow the race. Race day registration begins at 1:00 p.m.

The overall fastest male and female each receive $100. Medals will be given to the top
three in each category. All fun runners receive ribbons.

All participants are encouraged, but not required, to bring at least one can of food to
benefit local food pantries the week before Thanksgiving.

An Outdoor Sportsman's Festival will be held on Saturday, November 17, at Calhoun Falls
High school. Contact the Calhoun Falls State Park, 447-8267, for a camping spot to stay
the whole weekend.
