Pet Health Fair and Pooch Parade

Published Oct 7, 2007

ANDERSON, SC - The Anderson County Human Society has two events planned in October for pets. The Electric City Animal Clinic Pet Health Fair will be from 10 a.m.-2 p.m., Saturday, October 13, at 1403 Pearman Dairy Road. The Pooch Parade and Howl-o-ween Festival will be at 12 p.m., Saturday, October 27, at the gazebo at Chris Taylor Memorial Park at the Anderson County Civic Center.

Registration for the Pooch Parade begins at 10 a.m. Come dressed for Howl-O-Ween with your dog. There are several categories for prizes and you only have to raise $25 in sponsorships to be eligible to win. The festival will have vendors, food, crafts, contests, obedience and trained dog shows, and the parade.

The Pooch Parade and Howl-o-ween Festival is an opportunity for people and their dogs to raise money to help Anderson’s lost and sick animals and to help raise funds for our low cost spay/neuter program. Every year the number of unwanted animals increases in Anderson County.

For an entry form to participate in the costume contest, call 225-9855 and leave a message or print one from www.andersonhumanesociety.com.

The Anderson County Humane Society is a private, not-for-profit animal welfare organization, governed by a volunteer board of directors.
