Columbia, SC - To celebrate the outdoors and all that the Midlands of South Carolina has to offer, Palmetto Conservation will host the "Reel Action" Festival of Film and Outdoors October 9-12, 2008. A highlight of the festival will be an amateur do-it-yourself film contest featuring fun in the outdoors.

Five winning films will be screened at Columbia's Nickelodeon Theater on Saturday, October 11, 2008. Entrants should submit films that are no longer than 10 minutes, are entertaining and set in the outdoors. The winning films will be chosen by a select group of judges and will be eligible to receive prizes up to $500.00. The deadline for submissions is August 15, 2008.
