Private Applicators Pesticide License Training Set for May 1

CLEMSON, SC - Clemson Extension in Horry County is offering a private pesticide applicator training and core exam study course from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. May 1 at the Horry County Extension Office, Johnny M. Shelley Agriculture Facility, 1949 Industrial Park Road, Conway.

It is for agriculture producers who need a private pesticide applicator's license to purchase restricted-use pesticides in production of an agricultural product. It also is a study course to prepare for the core exam for a commercial and non-commercial pesticide license.

Registration fee is $50 and is non-refundable. Pre-registration is required by 4:30 p.m. Monday, April 28, so that study materials can be prepared. The class is limited to 30 participants, and a minimum of 10 is required to conduct the training.

Call the Horry County Extension Office at (843) 365-6715, ext. 111, to register. To register by mail, send a check made payable to Clemson University to the Horry County Extension Service, P.O. Box 1005, Conway, SC 29528. Please note on your check that it is for the private pesticide applicator training.
