HARTWELL, GA - The Pre-Fourth of July parade is all about the children. Ronald McDonald will lead the parade at 10:30 a.m. in Hartwell. The Grand Marshals this year, are the children of soldiers. Children who would like to honor a soldier past or present are invited to participate in the parade. This can be a grandparent, a parent, or any family member or family friend.
Children are encouraged to wear or carry a picture of the soldier and ride on the float. Children may also decorate their bikes, wagons, and the like as in the past. Golf carts are allowed as long as an adult is driving. Be creative! Children may also walk in the parade and are encouto honor a soldier by pinning a picture on their shirt or carrying a picture is welcome.

Arts and crafts will be on the square along with entertainment for the whole family. The evening will end at Big Oaks Recreatin Area on Lake Hartwell with a community band concert and fireworks.
