South Carolina Students Urge Presidential Candidates to Take Action on Clean Energy

Published Jan 16, 2008

Environment America Student Activist Groups across South Carolina are urging the presidential candidates to meet all of America's future energy demands with clean energy. This statewide event will be held from 1-4 p.m., on Wednesday, January 16, at Coastal Carolina University, College of Charleston, Clemson University, Furman University, and the University of South Carolina.

The event is in conjunction with a new Environment America paper release entitled, "Putting America on the Path to Clean Energy: A Presidential Plan of Action for the First 100 Days." The paper details the immediate steps the next president should take in order to put America on a path towards truly clean energy and energy independence.
