The Western Carolina Sailing Club (WCSC) will host the 23rd Annual Chili Cook-Off Saturday, Feb. 3, at 5:30 at the clubhouse on Lake Hartwell. Any regular WCSC member can enter their best chili for everyone to savor by bringing his or her chili to the clubhouse around 5 p.m. This event has been going on at WCSC for years. Most of the time, the winner has been a new member. There is also a judging for the best desert.

The cook-off benefits the Community Food Bank of the Piedmont. Everyone is encouraged to bring non-perishable food items for the food bank. The WCSC also has holds supports Hospice of the Upstate, holds a toy drive at Christmas and helps Boy Scouts obtain their sailing merit badges.
