SAVANNAH, GA. -- The Georgia Department of Natural Resources will be offering five boating classes on the following dates: Feb. 17, Mar. 31, Apr. 28, May 12 and June 23. The six-hour course runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Classes are open to the public and there is no registration fee.

The boating classes will be held at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Hartwell Lake Project Office located at 5625 Anderson Hwy., Hartwell, Ga.

Participants must be at least 12 years old. Classes are limited to 25 students.
