MAULDIN, SC - The Lake Hartwell Sail and Power Squadron will hold Boat Smart classes on Mondays from 6:30-8:30 p.m., February 4-24, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1100 Log Shoals Rd in Mauldin.

Learn boat handling, anchoring, aids to navigation, docking, required safety equipment, rules of the road, PWC safety, state and federal regulations, VHF radio, trailering tips and skipper responsibility. Cost is $35 per student.

According to the website, the course has been approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators and recognized by all major insurance companies and the US Coast Guard.
