Conservation Close-Up Kicks Off

COLUMBIA, SC - Dean Moss,  Executive Director of the Beaufort Jasper Water and Sewer Authority, will begin the Palmetto Conservation Foundation's lunch box lectures at 12 p.m., on Thursday, December 6, in the Gamecock Room, at the University of South Carolina, 1314 Lincoln Street, Columbia.  Dean will give a water resources update focusing on the drought, interstate water conflicts, and possible legislative initiatives.

During the winter months, we will feature three speakers from American Forest Management that will explore new trends in forestry beginning with a discussion about the historic sell-off of southern timber lands. Sessions on the impact of the insurance crisis on coastal growth and climate change are also planned.

No reservations required but bring your own lunch.
