CLEMSON, SC - Proofing Clemson Printmakers will have an exhibition March 4-April 3 in Lee Gallery at Clemson University. Times are Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and Sunday, 2-5 p.m. The exhibition includes 17 artists and more than 70 prints. Six of the artist will talk about their work at 4p.m., on Friday, March 7, in Lee Gallery, followed by an exhibition reception hosted by the Friends of the Center for Visual Arts. The exhibition and reception are free and open to the public.
Proofing Clemson Printmakers is a reunion of artists/printmakers, all former students who worked with Professor Sydney Cross in the print shop at Clemson. Proofing includes prints made while the artists were studying at Clemson and also works they have produced since leaving Clemson. A variety of processes and concepts will be represented and all demonstrate the high caliber of printmaking taught at Clemson, according to a press release.
