The Hartwell Farmers’ Market opens on April 28. Do you have a vegetable garden? Why not plan to plant a few extra rows and sell your excess at the Hartwell Farmers’ Market. Local growers that produce, veggies, fruit, nuts, plants and flowers are needed for this year’s market. The cost to join the HFM Association for a full season is only $7 a year – or for those only going to be there less than seven times, a new rate of only $1 per Saturday. All items sold do need to be locally grown. The Hartwell Farmers’ Market will be located at the corner of Carter and Howell Streets in the City Hall parking lot and will be held every Saturday, 7 a.m.-12 p.m., April thru December, depending on seasonal availability. For more information, contact Ron Davis at (706) 436-0332.
