SCDOT Seeks Public Comment

COLUMBIA, SC - The South Carolina Department of Transportation (SCDOT) is seeking comments from the public on a proposed funding plan for Fiscal Year 2008, which begins on October 1, 2007. The funding plan includes the Federal-Aid and Federal Transit Administration Programs. Based on estimated funding of $632 million for the Federal-Aid Program, increases have been proposed for Pavement Preservation, Bridge Replacement, Interstate, and Safety Programs. Based on estimated funding of $41 million for the Federal Transit Administration Program, the program allocations are consistent with federal legislation.
