ANDERSON, SC - The Anderson Arts Center has announced three, week-long sessions of Fish Out of Water Art Camp. The camp features a wide varity of art projects and excursions based on the themes of fish and water. Dates for the camps at the Anderson Arts Warehouse on 110 Federal St., Anderson, are July 30-August 3, August 6-10, and August 13-17.
ANDERSON, SC - The Anderson Arts Center has announced three, week-long sessions of Fish Out of Water Art Camp. The camp features a wide varity of art projects and excursions based on the themes of fish and water. Dates for the camps at the Anderson Arts Warehouse on 110 Federal St., Anderson, are July 30-August 3, August 6-10, and August 13-17. The one-week camps are for ages 6-12, and run from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., Monday-Friday. The cost is $130 for members of the Arts Center and $150 for non-members. Campers must supply their own lunch and drink, Monday-Thursday. The cost also includes snacks each day, admission and transportation for excursions, and all art materials.
Each Friday includes a special "Freak Friday Fish Trip" and lunch is supplied by the Arts Center. Camps include daily art projects in painting, drawing, clay, tie-dying, fish-printing and more.
In addition to these art activities, campers will also visit a number of other Anderson-area locations, including the all-new YMCA Water-Works. A signed permission slip for transportation and swimming activities will be required for each camper.
The Anderson Arts Center is excited to offer the new program, which will educate children about the "Fish Out of Water: Hooked on the Arts 2" project and the largemouth bass that is indigenous to our area.
