Any angler who catches a tagged fish should call the Hartwell Lake Operations Manager’s Office at 888-893-0678 ext.335 to report their catch. Anglers who can verify their catch by providing the tag to the Hartwell Lake Office will receive a reward and prize package, courtesy of Grady’s Outdoors, located in Anderson, S.C.

Georgia On-Line Fishing Guides from DNR

The Georgia DNR (GeorgiaDepartment of Natural Resources) has released the 2012 reservoir and river fishing prospect guides. These guides were compiled by Georgia Department of Natural Resources’ Wildlife Resources Division Fisheries biologists and are based on sampling efforts, knowledge of past fishing trends, staff fishing experiences and discussions with anglers and marina owners. Each fishing prospect guide includes best bets, technique tips, target recommendations and contact information as well as links to boat ramps, a lake map and local weather forecasts.
