CLEMSON, SC - Tom Winkopp Realtor/Developer, LLC, launched his latest venture, Highpointe of Clemson, on Friday, September 28.  This newest student community will be located about two miles from Clemson University and will showcase a full array of amenities like South Carolina’s only lazy “lagoon” river, sand volleyball court, clubhouse and one of the largest swimming lagoons in South Carolina.

The development will have an initial offering of 112 units at approximately 1,671 square feet each with four bedrooms, four baths and a built-in desk in every bedroom.  One key feature for many of the condos is a view of Lake Hartwell.  All units will have pedestrian and bicycle access to a planned center; walking, jogging and biking trails; as well as access to over 1,000 feet of lakefront with a park and planned beach.

Winkopp has dedicated 110 acres for Highpointe of Clemson to be located on property adjacent to Lake Hartwell.  Construction on the luxury condos in phase one is set to begin soon. Units in phase one come with a starting price of $194,900.  Scott Foster, Marketing and Special Events Director, says students will be able to move in by August 2008. 

Additional amenities at Highpointe of Clemson will include a fitness center, library/study area, lounge room with a large screen TV, game room, tanning beds, a centrally located 7-acre green area and CAT bus access or the equivalent.

The student community will also have Clemson’s only 24-hour manned guardhouse at development’s entrance gates.  Proposed designs include, as well, a village with retail shops to be built on the outskirts of Highpointe of Clemson.
